| This is the most conspicuous of all Philippine Raptors. It soars high above the forest and forest edges. Soaring occurs once thermals develop and can continue throughout the day.It hunts in the forrest canopy preying on snakes, lizzards, small mammals, and small birds. They are often seen perched on the forest edge. There are two distinct races here; palawanensis and holospilus. Females averages bigger than the male. |
