Each one is different in its own way from size, to color variations in the eyes and feathers. Here on this Island we deal mainly with Philippine Scops-Owls and Luzon Scops-Owls. I have released many of these and turned many over for breeding programs. They tend to perch in the open when far from the nest, and are very easily approached and captured by kids. They do however, have a very nasty bite and powerful razor sharp talons.
