| This is Mojo the Grass owl. Mojo was being sold to someone who convinced them to turn it over. He was barely 4 days old, eyes not open, seriously distended stomache, and very near death. The person who originally had him, was force feeding him bananas, i.e. the distended stomache and my guess a slight hernia. Mojo took a lot of work! I reasearched and emailed many people for help on this guy. Many thanks to the people at Raptorcare@Yahoogroups.com for their help as well as Fauna Flora Philippines. He was the ugliest Bird I had ever seen, but quite beautiful now. Unfortunately because of the extreme measures I had to undertake to save him, he is imprinted as I was the first he saw when his eyes opened. Needless to say, he is a lifelong resident here because of that, but a joy to have. |
