| Falconets are fairly common here and can be seen sitting on power lines hawking for insects. They are indeed a Raptor, and one of the smallest Falcons in the world. They are very noisy and fiesty! They have been known to mob Philippine Eagles. They eat insects, small lizzards, and small birds. The ones I have here at the center love live quail. They are given a diet of quail, small lizzards, and superworms. The brownish pink coloration on the cheeks will disapear when they reach adulthood. |
