| These are "colosisi" as they are locally known here, or Philippine Hanging Parrots. One of the smallest parrots in the world. There are many subspecies here with many different color variations. Beautiful little creatures. The ones pictured here are ready for banding and release. They are very heavily persecuted here for the pet trade. You can find them almost anywhere being sold, and go for around 5 US dollars a pair. |
