On theses pages you will find bird watching trips that I have gone on. Bataan Province is very prolific in many species of birds. There is a lot of unrecorded territory here, that anyone has yet to visit as far as bird recording. There are many mountainess areas that are hard to access, as well as lots of water and mangrove areas. Puerto Rivas Bataan is one of the top 5 areas in the Philippines for migratory birds, and is visited quite often by the Wild Bird Club of the Philippines. Tortugas Bataan is another area that is great for shore birds. The areas around Marivelles Bataan has a lot of yet unrecorded areas. 16 October was probably the first official bird recording ever done at Marivelles Watershed area. The areas along Bagac, and Morong Bataan, which connects with the Subic Bay Rainforest, is still unrecorded as far as I am aware of.
I am pretty busy here with my work and have only done several birdwatching trips, but hope to conduct more in the near future. It is a viable tool for the local DENR offices in tracking wildlife present in the areas. LISTED BELOW ARE SOME OF THE TRIPS AND RECORDINGS I HAVE DONE. |
